ZuCar trade-in experience and alternative?

    Hi,

    I asked Joe Duffy VW to check the trade-in value for a 2016 Qashqai SV Premium (high specs-72000km) toward a recent Tiguan

    I assume that they are using ZuCar for this as this is part of the group.

    I got an offer for 11k.

    That seems low compared to the advertised prices that you see on carzone or other site (Around 18k)

    I do not want the bother of selling the car myself for personal reason.

    Is there a better choice for me?

    If you don't want to sell it privately then unfortunately your at the mercy of what dealers or traders like Zucar will offer you for it. They will try and maximise their profits by trying to buy at the lowest cost to them.

    Shop around other dealers. The 11K is not the figure to look at really, the important number is your cost to change. If you are not selling your old car yourself, go to as many other dealers as you can and find your cost to change. Then start bargaining. Good luck.
