Going to visit a family member in the U.K. for a few days and not sure what to do for pounds. Was gonna exchange some euros in post office for pounds and take half in cash and then transfer another half over onto an AIB card. But, I am just wondering with the AIB card will I get any extra charges and would this be one of the best ways of doing it?

Sound, I think my brother has one lying about so would I be able to use that or would I have to wait for a new one to come through?
