I just got a banner on my Ancestry home page that DNA results 'will be updated with even more precision this September.' Curious to see what they will do with me this time. Has anyone else gotten this notice yet?

Yes, I have the same banner.

I remain sceptical of all the ethnicity stuff.

I wonder is it just based on people availing of the option to identify how they are related to their various DNA matches?

There is a post on Ancestry's DNA message board that Ancestry says it will release the ethnicity updates on 17 September and further, they are holding back all new matches until they release the ethnicity updates. I wondered why I hadn't gotten any for the last month or so.

My update came an hour ago--no surprises. No new matches yet so either I don't have any or they haven't released them yet. Those are the really useful bits.
