Window blackout plus insulation

I've 6 window needing blackout plus insulation but I don't want to crack the existing glass that's in place....the 6 windows that need doing are aprox 2mx1m each

Any idea what's the best way to do this?

Apologies but don't understand the question. How do you propose to insulate the windows ? Is it with a film and you also want the film to be permanent blackout ?

I presumed it was "blackouts and installation"!

At the top of that frame you should have another horizontal section of the frame. Your options include drilling into this or the vertical uprights, but only at 90-degrees to the surface (ie, not pointing towards to exterior). Do you have neighbours who have completed this upgrade where you could look at how it was done?

The screws to use are called self-drilling and they can create the required hole in the frame, but I often pre-drill the holes with a substantially smaller bit to start off.
