Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, Thinking of getting an iron fitting myself. I was in Halfpenny golf Lucan today and was told that the fitting is free. Looking online they have plenty of fitting times available next week. Just did a quick search and it looks like 50 euro for a 1 hour fitting in McGuirks and 80 euro in the golf academy in Carton golf club. Not sure on availability in the last two.

Cheers for that its the private non commercial ones I was looking for outside of Mcguirks or halpenney. They are decent but need a specialist fitter nearly. Recommended Micky Horan in birr and carton aswell.

I got a driver fitted in Mount Juliet and thought he (Brian Doheny) was good. Ended up with a set up that I would never have thought was a good combination but it works really well. They fit Taylormade, Callaway and PING. Had to wait about 4 weeks to get it but that's the case everywhere for new clubs I think.

Edit: You hit out onto a range as opposed to into a screen or net too

Just as a word of warning be prepared to wait. I was waiting 12 weeks for my new irons due to a shortage of steel

I got fitted for irons from Michael Kavanagh out at Stackstown last year and he was also very good.
