Thst box has a fixed tuner setup so you cant add dtt tuner. the tuner will work for saorview. Look at the zgemma h7s as a better alternative with room for an internal hdd and it has dtt tuner.

Not sure that receiver has the optional extra tuner slot, cant see mention in the description and the pictures of the back dont show it.

If you look at this model you will see they show the optional tuner in the pictures (you still have to buy it separately but it has the slot for it and it can be added on when ordering from them).

Ok, thanks. Do you know would this work with USB DVB-T tuners? I have two of them. Would save having to buy the PnP tuner module.

USB tuners can be a bit flaky and may only work with certain boxes. You'd have to Google to see if you can find anyone using the same tuners.

Many on here can recommend a box but it all depends on what you need.

E.g. How many satellite/terrestrial channels do you need to be able to record/view at the same time?

Most are generally happy with 2 satellite tuners and one terrestrial tuner as there are so few channels on terrestrial.

The ZGemma H7S is a good box (I have one) but has been around a long time so it may be worth looking at newer tech.

A lot of people want to be able to watch Android apps as well (iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.) and although you can use these with standard Enigma2 boxes there is a bit of work involved and the interface isn't great for this. A lot of newer boxes are beginning to provide dual boot (Android and Enigma2) to satisfy this need.

Thanks for the advice. I went for the zgemma H7S in the end and all good so far. USB tuner working fine so have 2 sat + 2 terrestrial. The only issue is the remote range and angle but that seems to be a known issue.

I had similar issues with the H7S remote. Remote is about 3 metres from the box and would really only work if pointed directly at the box.

I got a cheap second hand harmony hub and remote which solved that.

Post the model of the USB tuner as it may help others who are looking for a cheap way to add a second terrestrial tuner to the H7S.

    It's Horrible!!

Russian-made TVIP set-top boxes may be "cut off" from the firmware update servers, which will affect the stable operation of the devices. In addition, the owners of such devices will be unable to obtain technical support from the manufacturer. All of this will greatly complicate the use of their TV set-top box.

Buyers of IPTV set-top boxes from Formuler’s distributor in the USA may also face similar problems. The company is likely to be affected by Western sanctions due to the fact that one of its investors is a Russian citizen, Vitaly Kulimov.
