Seeing as it got a mention recently, I thought I would start a thread about it.

John Walsh, who was a presenter on it, wrote an interesting article about that station, which started as KLAS but was renamed as Class at one point.

People he mentioned are: Hugh Hardy (its founder), David Baker, Dan O’Sullivan, Brian Craig, Nick Adams, David Bradshaw. Lee Davis (aka DJ Lee of Radio Dublin and Southside FM), Angela McQuaid (advertising), Nella Allen, John J. May, Susan Jackson, Pat Courtenay, Bryan Lambert, Mike Swan and Linda Larkin. Some I recognoise, some I don't. I also know that Paul Vincent and Keith Shanley did stints there.

    Any more memories or names?

    Where are they now?

Sadly, founder Hugh Hardy died a few years ago.

David Baker is largely associated with UK radio these days, He is MD and presenter with Chelmar Radio. He also has his corporate. wedding and party deejay service. Finally, David runs an online Christmas station called Radio Snowflake (Christmas FM's main competitor!).

Keith Shanley is involved with online stations planetradio.ie and GCR Digital Radio as well as being a regular presenter on Midlands 103. Like David, Keith provides deejay services. He continues to be actively involved with the aforementioned Christmas FM. (EDIT: Fixed a wrongly spelt radio station!)

Paul Vincent was in a band last I heard, before the pandemic!

Pat Courtenay is with Dublin's Radio Nova for the last 11 years. It was a thread about him that spawned this one!

Susan Jackson is a newsreader for RTE.

Edit: DJ Lee (Lee Davis) is a presenter on online station More Music Ireland.

    Any more?

Another presenter was David Hynes. Like Keith Shanley, he has been a stalwart of Christmas FM. I don't know if he is involved currently with any other radio stations.
