I've a real dentist phobia and while I'd been good at forcing myself to go, Covid screwed that up. I'm thinking I want a new dentist (had previously used Smiles) somewhere I'll be more relaxed. Can anyone recommend one in the area?

(I know there were old threads on here on this but the search function is brutal, especially on mobile )

    Thanks

I've gone through around 5 dentists and 3 specialists, been with Dr. Nicolas Kane in Balbriggan for the past seven years. Lovely guy and team, but his practice is constantly booked out for months in advance. One stop-shop for everything at reasonable costs.

Heard that Dr Paul Sullivan in Castleknock D15 caters for nervous patients. Again one has to ask around but no complaints heard.

The Village Dental Practice in Blanchardstown village are excellent for putting nervous patients at ease. Even my wife, who really dislikes going to the dentist, thought they were great.

A friend of mine also highly recommends Village Dental in the village. My own dentist is not in D15 so I don't have a persional recommendation.

Any other suggestions, rang Village Dental and they're not taking on any new patients and no ETA as to when they might. Receptionist said to try Smiles or there was some place opposite The Bell she thought was doing dental.

Nothing pressing and no phobias regarding dentists but it's been a few years since my last check up so was going to act on above recommendations until I was shot down.

Beechview, opposite bell pub, got my invisalign with them recently and can't complain! Was terrified of dentists before bc I had to get front teeth taken out as a small child and been traumatised ever since. Got some fillings and a root canal done before the actual invisalign and told them I was nervous bc of past experience and they were very understanding. Place is really modern and clean and it's really easy to actually get an appointment which was handy out bc of the repeat visits. They have GP and skin treatments too afaik
