Converting halogen to led

Hi, I have 10 halogen downlights that I'd like to convert to gu10. I changed the dimmer switch to be Led compatible, & connected gu10 lamp holder to wires in ceiling, but no luck. Do I need to get Led drivers for each bulb? If I was to get an electrician in to do it, any idea of the cost? Thanks in advance

Do you have gu10s already or do you have low voltage versions eg mr16?

The low voltage down lighters have a transformer at each light that that usually has to removed to work with 240 volts bulbs.

Thanks for replying, I currently have mr16 halogen & wish to replace these with gu10. I looked and couldn't see any transformer at each light. (See photo of old halogen, so in another light I've hooked up the gu10 lamp holder, but it's not working)

As I mentioned the gu10 is not going to work as it 240 volt and the mr16 low voltage is 12 volt. There has to be a transformer there, yo need to pull more cable down.

Check this link it has a photo attached
