Pressure reducing valve

So, I know what it is but does anyone know the make or how to use it? I didn't have time to play around with it, just took a photo as there's a thumbscrew thing behind the main body that's throwing me. I think it might be a kinda stopcock valve which just forces the outlet pressure to 0 and that the pressure setting is set either via the slotted screw or under the cap that this retains?

The knob on the opposite side is for on and off, just like a tap. The slotted screw adjusts the outlet pressure. There would be a pressure gauge at the outlet side to allow you to set the required pressure.

Thanks, that fits with what I was thinking!
