    Hi

As the title says, has anyone gotten a mortgage with a credit union?

i know the rates are higher, but are they easier to deal with than banks?

    Any help appreciated.

    thanks.

I haven't personally but it is possible. Not all credit unions offer it though so you'd need to check your local one.

Define easier to deal with? You'll still need to submit all the same documentation to them and answer the same questions. If it's the hassle you find challenging just get a decent broker.

They can lend to lower incomes/potentially riskier cases which is one of the reasons why the interest rate is higher.
