    Really would appreciate if the learned folk on here could positively ID the tree in the attached pictures. 🤔

    It's an evergreen and as you can see the new foliage is a much lighter colour than the older foliage. We also get seed cones on them this time of the year, birds seem to love them.

    Currently have 2 in pots but would appreciate info as we would like to see if suitable for planting into the soil, which is heavy clay. I'm dubious if they would survive.
