Filling broken skirting board to hide split

Previously our tiler had to remove some skirting and did not see a hidden screw, this is the result: I know some would say replace the whole skirting but with the joins at the ends it's not straight forward. One lad advised me to use a 2 part filler. I found…

I'm not sure if the white will 100% match and I don't have the paint that was used on the skirting but presumably it would be better than current!

Looks like a very narrow split.
Few coats of thick paint over the split. Sand down and paint the full length.
Job will be oxo.
