Hello all, hope you are well. My partner and I are thinking of buying a house in the Mills estate, new build. Just wanting to find out a bit more about the estate and town please. All pros and cons welcome! Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am in the same position, it would be great to get some information on the estate/area.

How close are you now? I can't tell you anything about the estate as I live a bit of a distance away in county Waterford, but Lismore is a nice little town, though not a lot in it, minimal shopping. You would be going to Dungarvan or Fermoy for groceries. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, and there are 'sights' to see and nice drives. Cappoquin is not far away, again not a lot there but marginally more than Lismore, and its all handy for Dungarvan.

Thanks for the info, i'm not a local and so not super familiar with the area, i know Dungarvan and am ok with the drive to get to the shops etc, i like the outdoor lifestyle in the area but don't know a lot about Lismore or the estate. Lismore seems picturesque and small enough so i can't imagine there would be any troublesome areas but this is always a concern with buying somewhere you don't know very well

Thank you both for the information. I am also not from the area, would know Waterford well enough. Would like to know more about the estate in general, what the people are like, the broadband, water pressure etc. From what I have seen, Lismore is a lovely town!
