Electric Ireland Bill pay - potential scam?

I paid an Electric Ireland bill through my phone and got a confirmation text. A text had already been sent from this number from OMCSU (Oranmore Maree Coastal Service Unit). Now either I gave my card number to a scam, or OMCSU are using the same number as EIR. Can you confirm before I cancel my card? Thanks

I wouldn't be waiting for a reply which could be hours away.

Did you receive the bill through text?

    Yes through text

HI all, thanks for the input. It seems this is part of whats called an IVR system. Interactive Voice Response systems are used by companies to pay bills over the phone, so not unusual to get different texts from the same number.
