im having a bit of a nightmare job lately. Fitted a new 2 bar brass shower pump. Cylinder and pump directly behind the shower mixer (also new), water tank directly over cylinder, with about 1.5m between Cyl top and base of water tank.

essex flange fitted on cylinder. Every time I run the hot side of the shower it starts to pulsate. Grundfos assured me this must be air. There’s no blockages in filters. I’ve removed the shower and let the 1/2” pipe run. There seems to be no air. Anybody ever encounter anything like this?

Yes I did come across this... A few years ago... or something similar.. I'm trying to remember the cause / solution.

Is it a negative head pump?

    No positive.

the only thing I can think of is the shower flange. The one I used takes the air from the top and vents on the lower side. I think I’ll try change it out for one that vents to the top
