Cajun paste - shelf life query

i have a jar of M&S Cajun Paste - says use within 6 weeks of opening - its been in the fridge for about 3 mths.. would you use it? I assume it would be microbiologically safe, just might not taste as good..

Sorry Sporina, Food Safety Advice is not allowed on here. If someone said it would be fine and you got sick from eating it, Boards would be liable. It covers all food.
The only advice we can give is 'If in doubt, chuck it out!'
