Hey all, I have a Honda CB1300 SC40 that is currently having a starting problem. The bike will start first time when it's cold however after it has warmed up after a short spin it will not turn over at all until it has cooled down. All it does is click when I try to start it. I've replaced the battery and it recently got a new set of clutch plates and a service. I'm considering changing the starter but I don't want to invest in a new one unless I'm sure that's the problem. Has anyone any ideas what the problem is?

Sounds like the starter or the relay. You could try jumping the relay to confirm where the fault lies.

yeah, could be as simple as relay. no harm checking wire connection from starter to relay , just in case is loose a bit at the starter.

As above, but even if you pull the starter out, you can get it tested to see if it's what they call a 'lazy starter'.

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
