Trainee accountant salary

Hi guys just looking for insight on what the current salary range is for a trainee accountant in 2021.

I’ve been offered a role at an SME in North Dublin for €26K so just wanted to know if this about right.

From the research I done when applying for trainee roles, that figure sounds about right.

Personally, I think I was just really lucky with the company that I joined as it was certainly the highest paid of all the positions I applied for. Needless to say the money is still crap until you become qualified.

When I trained in Sligo in 2012 my salary was 14k a year no expenses for travelling to Dublin every second weekend!!

At the time they could justify it by saying you were an apprentice but I am not sure if that has changed since! Hoping it has because it was sole destroying working for that money!

I'm working as a trainee now and I am on more than double the 14k salary you had so it definitely has changed in some places since then.
