I see plenty of discussion about the Tiviar - is this box still considered then best option for combining Freesat and Saorview, with built-in record functionality? Believe it or not, the most-used feature we would use would be pausing live TV on…

Believe it or not, the most-used feature we would use would be pausing live TV on Saorview channels. Ease of use is important, and willing to spend a bit extra to get the best solution.

The Tiviar is getting a bit long in the tooth these days. The current favourite is the Zgemma H7S, which is also 4K compatible, running the openVix image. There are several threads here on Boards https://www.boards.ie/discussion/2057971250/zgemma-h7s-guide/p1 about it.
