Mistake on Ireland passenger locator form

I've just filled in the passenger locator form as I'm flying from England to Dublin. I put in the wrong passport number so I decided to redo the form. I have since realised I am supposed to email passengerlocatorform@plf.ie if something changes to the form within 14 days. Do I still need to do this even though I've resubmitted the form? It's annoying because the passport number is an optional field anyway for a trip from the UK.

If you re-did the form, don't worry too much. Show them the new form instead.

In my experience, the checking of the form is like immigration, nonexistent. They just wave ya on.
