Easter 2022 - getting from Connacht to Stuttgart / Bavaria?

I appreciate any advice about a family getting from Connacht to Stuttgart or Munich or Nurnberg in Easter 2022.

Knock airport is VERY handy for departures, but SNN would also suit, DUB also.

I presume the easiest is one flight DUB-Stuttgart with Aer Lingus or Ryanair?

One of the destinations is Legoland, which is approx 1hr from Stuttgart airport.

Is there any way to do it in two flights from Knock, with little hassle, I wonder? (I doubt it)

Is skyscanner still the best way to check connections?

    Thanks.

Way too early to be planning given the current instability in the airline sector. Routes open now may not be open next Easter.

    This ⬆️

Knock and Shannon are only possible if you combine different carriers which is rather risky, especially when children are involved. At the moment you could fly to Munich (Lufthansa/AerLingus) or Memmingen (Ryanair). Currently there don't seem to be flights to Stuttgart, but they might resume. Legoland is great fun. We took our sons twice.

Legoland hasnt been open for the past 2 easters and if theres incidence related restrictions then who knows what'll happen next easter - but I would still be relatively confident that outdoors places like that will get the green light (maybe with a test at the worst of it) .

as for connecting flights, getting a direct flight from the island of Ireland to the continent seems preferable to getting potentially stranded in the UK en route (with kids!!??), which seems to be your only option for transfers. Looking at flights for next spring currently showing as operating, you'd be looking at an 8 hour trip from Knock to Munich by air, and driving to Dublin and getting a direct flight surely isn't any slower than that.

The idea of flying to Memmingen which is half ways between Munich and Stuttgart might also make sense, as its not so far from Legoland, and sometimes has really cheap flights with Ryanair from Dublin.

There once was 4 return flights per week between Memmingen and Shannon, but not any more.
