    I have a very

slight leak from what I think is called a sharkbite connector. Would self fusing tape take care of it or do I need to get a plumber to replace it?

    Short answer...

    It needs to be replaced.

Best to use a compression connection, that's the type with the nuts and rings.

And you might need 2 new pex pipe inserts as well.

    Should be an easy fix.
