Recommend a good travel agent

Hey, so I'm hoping to book a winter break to someplace tropical this winter.

Does anyone know of a good travel agent who is up to date on travel restrictions in other countries, who can help me choose a destination for a hassle free trip?

Of the travel agent websites I've looked at, most of them are advertising trips to places where its not currently possible to enter or require mandatory quarantine.

Thanks a mill for any help.

Trailfinders are the best there is, I do a lot of independent travel but for complex long haul that's where I go.

Do bear in mind that it's the passenger's obligation to check on visas, entry restrictions etc . Trailfinders are excellent but generally speaking, high street travel agents are lacking in basic knowledge - apart from what's in the brochure they're trying to flog you . Cassidy Travel are good but be prepared to do your own research regardless.

What do you mean by tropical? If you mean the Canaries, you're in luck.

Anything else, you can't really plan ahead. Current restrictions could disappear or new restrictions added.

Outside the EU you have risks such as hotel quarantine in either direction,or invalid travel insurance due to travel against government advice. Your TA could rightly tell you the flight and hotel are still operating and refuse a refund or change of dates as you knew the risks when booking.

I'd advise making sure everything is fully refundable.

No I'm thinking someplace where its warm enough to swim in the sea in January.....Mexico, Dominican Republic, Maldives or the like. I'm used to booking everything myself, was just hoping a TA might take some of the headache out of constantly keeping up with changing restrictions.

I think I'll park things until end of November and revisit the idea then.

Cheers for all the answers lads.

I usually use TripAdvisor to plan my trips, but this time I lack time. Any updates here? Can anyone recommend a good travel agency?
