Hi guys, I am talking to two different companies for external insulation. One is cheaper but their wrap is 100mm and the other is 150mm. They're both saying their wrap has a U Value of 0.27 though so I'm a bit confused. Is 150mm overkill?

Assuming they are both similar u-value, I’d assume One is using mineral wool, one is using PIR. Mineral wool is better from fire and environment when compared with PIR. If your eaves can take the mineral wool thickness, it would be my preferred spec.
