What's eating my plant

    Every time it grows a new floor stem it gets eaten and falls over ,the thing is ,the leaves are not touched, no plants around it are affected ,I think its a lobelia

    Sorry I can't make anything of that pic. Can you take another one showing the plant as it is growing 9or not growing) Using a very white sheet behind it will make the plant too dark to see.

    Slugs are the first thing i'd suspect

    Thanks folks ,turned out to be slugs ,I was just surprised the leaved were not touched
