Advice needed: New Balance Fuel Cell RC Elite V2 vs Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 for marathon?

I am looking for some advice in choosing a race shoe for the London marathon on Oct 3rd.

My "everyday" training shoe is the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 20/21. I'm a mild pronator and generally like the cushion/support of Brooks.

Earlier this year, I tried out a pair of Saucony Endorphin Speeds, to put in rotation for my Tempo and speed work.

They were my first "fancy" nylon plate shoes. I liked the response, cushion, and lightweight feel very much. The upper fit is good for me (I like a decent sized toebox).

Only downside is that the wet grip is not the best.

I've worn them on long runs up to 16 miles so far without any blisters or other comfort issues.

Feet felt good the following day - perhaps even fresher than if I had worn the Brooks Adrenalines.

Now I need to pick a race shoe for London on Oct 3rd.

I am thinking of either the New Balance Fuel Cell RC Elite V2 vs Saucony Endorphin Pro 2.

I've read a lot of great reviews here and elsewhere praising the foam, wet grip and overall response/ride of the New Balance Fuel Cell RC Elite V2.

If I am always a 10.5 UK / 11.5 US in the Brooks and Saucony, what size would I need in the New Balance?

I've never owned a pair of NB, though I've read that they fit on the small side?

For the Saucony, I already get on fairly well with the Endorphin Speed as a speed training/Tempo/distance shoe, so I was thinking that a logical progression would be to upgrade to the Endorphin Pro 2 for the marathon.

My target marathon pace will be roughly 7.30 min miles. I'm a 80kg runner.

I've read that some of these carbon plated shoes only work well for "fast" paces - like 6 min 30 miles or faster?

Is there anything to choose between these 2 shoes?

I need to decide fairly soon and break the shoe in and make sure I get on okay with it on 20 mile training runs.

Thanks in advance for the advice?

Just posting this again in case anyone has had both NB and Saucony shoes and can comment further.

In August, I decided to go for the Saucony Endorphin Pro 2.

I have 94 miles clocked up on them now - including 26.4 on Sunday's marathon in London. I have to say that the shoes really seem to suit me.

I have no foot soreness after the marathon. Though they are light, they seem to have sufficient support for my moderate over pronation.

I'm not sure how much it's down to the shoes - but I ran a 6 minute PB on Sunday.

I also wore them on an 80 second PB in a training 5k a month ago.

They are not quite as soft and spongy and plush feeling (for me anyway) as the original Endorphin Speeds that I also have.

The Pro 2's are a little lighter and I think I prefer the upper.

Has anyone tried both the New Balance Fuel Cell RC Elite v2 and the Saucony Endorphin Pro 2.

If so, what are your impressions?
