Think I have the right day..

5.30 DECOR IRLANDAIS ew @ 7/1 . Not a great price, but won't mind a drop of rain (can't see it not raining), and will do for me as an early pick for tomorrow. Well, I thought it weren't a great price (thinking he was about 12s) , until I checked, and he's been backed into 7s from twice that 😮😢... Definitely a poor price on known, or recent form, but maybe somebody knows something I don't 😂..

Glass Slippers looks a very big price at 14/1 (b365) at Goodwood 3:35 tomorrow.

    Goodwood 1.50

5 places on offer here, and that is coincidentally the same amount I fancy, and all of 'em have solid win and place claims I believe, so going ew on the 5 😊

THE GRAND VISIR 9/1. Came placed twice over marathon trips recently, and won't mind the going conditions. It's currently good to soft - good in places, but that could well change come racetime.

CALLING THE WIND 9/1. Not raced much beyond 1 1/2m, but came 2nd lto over 2m 6f. Richard Hughes' 5yr old won't mind if the ground goes very soft.

ROCHESTER HOUSE 14/1. Came 2nd in this last year. Is only 5 so is open to improvement. Likes to race prominent, and the blinkers are utilised for the first time, so maybe they'll make him focus/settle more from close to the pace without overracing, or going too wide.

PLATFORM NINETEEN 8/1. One who I was reluctant to include, as he's up in grade, but is also in great form lately. Yet to race beyond 2m, but I can't see why he won't stay.

CLEONTE 33/1. Trained by Andrew Balding, and I always look at his horses in these sort of races. Doesn't have as obvious claims as the other 4, and not getting younger at 8. He is dropping down the weights though, and provided it doesn't get too soft and he avoids trouble in running, he's one that could cause a minor upset.

The first 4 mentioned are priced about right, and definitely not overpriced. Cleonte is the only one who may be a value pick. Hope I can get the first 3 home 😁, at least!!

No pots up yet but I'm having a greattime watching Galway, Goodwood and the Olympics Tokyo 2020 on the quiet. I'm well tempted to go to Paris in 24.🥇🥈🥉

Great to see Gaz sending one over today. Pity a few more English trainers didn't have a go.

Battash and Mogul Double surely printing money at this stage. Mogul 6lbs clear on ratings and down in class.

Fancy French Made Galway later on too.

Yeah - see it’s 12/1 now without Battash. So have taken some of that. But also being greedy and taken some 20/1 (full field). Mad price - she must have lost a slipper.

    3.00 Goodwood

Low numbers are very obviously favoured here. Am not sure what the going is, but apparently it's windy. A few in this that have not done much in big fields. I don't know what will win, or how the race will pan out. I expect the winner will be in single figures. I'm going to go with two fairly speculative ew picks, and am not hoping for more than a place here. HARTSWOOD 33/1 , EPIC ENDEAVOUR 33/1

Just seen that the last race was about 16 seconds outside standard. Think they're blaming the 'steady pace' 😀 If I was a cynical punter, I'd think they don't want to draw too much attention to the wind, or indeed the ground, lest punters have some sort of a clue on how to proceed re their selections for the remaining few races. I reckon the going will change after the next race, or maybe the one after that. Shower of &$!% 😒 Maybe Dobbsy will tell us what going is like... I'll wait - no nothing,,, Think he alluded to conditions not being the best at start of interview, but whether he was on about the wind or the ground, I don't know... Interviewer made no mention of the going... 😁

The panel are saying 'softish ground' post interview with Angus Gold.... 😃 Give us the ruddy farkin 'current legitimate going description'

I doubt it'll be good - good to soft come racing's end 😧

Kingscote is too good of a jockey to not be at Goodwood. He's had two rides so far at Wolves, and one of them was a winner. He has two more rides and I'll back the both of them ew.

    3.10 Wolves BARTAT 8/1 , 4.18 Wolves SWOON 13/2

You wouldn't have thought there was any other horse other than Battash running from the ITV coverage. I don't see why they keep trying to manufacture a story when one will create itself anyway.

    Missed Galway today.

1 bet in the USA racing for me here. In the next the 11.50 @ Evangeline Downs, the fav - Oklani is veryshort @ around 11/10 in my opinion, which is good for me as I've been laying bits and pieces here but the market is not very liquid. Can't see it winning, strong lay bet in my opinion.
