Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Velux Blinds

I need to put blinds on two velux windows(there have been sightings of drone hovering outside each window during the darkness) but the room is used daytimes and is very bright usually when it is.

As money is tight, what do people her recommend?

    • There have never been blinds on these windows, so there are no fixings to hold the blinds on.

Have you priced the blinds from Velux themselves?

buy them off the velux site. Put them in yourself. Very easy to install. Everything comes in the pack.

we went to a lad here in town & he quoted €70 to install each blind. What a joke. All you have to do is measure the window first.

I have looked at the blinds sites, both velux and local.

As the prices don't show until the selections are made its an issue on the tight budget available for this.

*Going through the selection process to find they are too expensive would cause great upset for the person I'm helping, something to be avoided if at all possible.

Go to their website there is a larger selection than in a regular store. There will already be something to choose from.

I've ordered some velux ones from here https://www.roofwindowblinds.ie/

Should get them next week, they have a discount so were cheaper than velux. You don't need to measure, just put in the window code
