What are the tax implications for a son in law inheriting from his in laws estate. Unfortunately the daughter of in-laws (his wife) pre deceased her parents who have left no will. Is he (or his children) entitled to the full tax allowance as th immediate family. Thank you all.

If I have read this right the man in question would fall into group A due to the spouse being deceased. This would put the CAT threshold at 335k
