    Some help please - how do I check if a Dublin company is registered for VAT and if the handwritten VAT number they have supplied is valid?

    Is it in the form of IE9999999X, where 9 represents any number and X represent one or two letters?

    Is it printed on any of their documentation, website, social media, etc.?

    You could contact Revenue. However, I'm not sure they would share the information.

    I'm not sure it is your problem, provided that you are happy that you have correct contact details for them.
