Aritech CS350 - Cabinet Tamper error after battery change

Hi all

Have recently changed the battery in my Aritech CS350 after a low battery warning. Followed the instructions found on here and all seemed fine.

Managed to set the alarm successfully once after so all good. Then the next time i try it wont let me, once it is about to arm it says "Cabinet Tamper". Also get the same when i press the down arrows twice to look at open zones, the same "Cabinet Tamper" message

The only thing i have done is open the box and change the battery - thinking the issue could be the tamper spring inside but when putting the panel back on i was careful to make sure it 'clicked' back back in and the lid is securely screwed. So am fairly sure the spring is in the right position

Any ideas what could be causing it?

If you open the panel and get someone to press and hold the spring closed does it clear the fault on the keypad?

Will give it a try when back (note to self - don't tinker with alarm when about to go away for a few days!)

More than likely just the spring not closing correctly.

Thanks Altor, looks like you were right. Now fixed.

This time opened it up with the mains on and compressed the spring which seems to have sorted the error. I think the issue was that in changing the battery, i swapped a smaller 3Ah battery for a larger 7Ah - it didnt think the larger battery was impeding the case lid when screwing it back on but perhaps it did. Solution was to put some folder paper inside the lid where the spring is to make doubly sure the spring was compressed when putting the lid back on and seems to have sorted it.
