I returned it through the correct channels and had an email today saying it was received but as outside 21 days can’t refund and they’ll return the item free or charge to me! A too big jacket costing €50 no use to me! Website says no exchanges either! Do I have an

Distance selling regulations give you 14 days max, 21 days was already more generous than your consumer rights.

Can I even get an exchange or credit note - seems insane that I’m stuck with an item I’ll never wear!

If the retailer doesn't offer it, no

You have no legal right to a no fault return anywhere, except for the 14 days allowed by distance selling regulations. Anything above that is down to the shop. You would have got a refund had you returned it within the 21 days.

If you can find an email address for a manager then try emailing them. Occasionally a manger will allow a late return as a matter of goodwill where a minion will just go by the rules.

Wake me up when it's all over.

True I might try that! I am a regular customer in shops in two local towns was my first order online as the item was online but never in shop!! I’ll see if they give a gesture of goodwill. I brought it back to shop but they can’t refund online sales it sat in bag for another week before returning totally my fault!!!
