I noticed a few new DS7 Crossback's in Gowan Motors on the Navan Road the other day, so I checked the DS Automobiles website, and to my surprise, the site is working again, but no sign of where the garages are.

Back story on the website - This site was working a few years ago, however it was full of bugs and would keep crashing if you tried the build a car. then about 2 years ago the website was removed.

Now that the Gowan Group has taken over the importing and selling of Citroën & DS Automobiles here in Ireland again since April 2021, I wonder which garages around the country will carry the franchise.

No, that's the DS9 that will be sold in the E.U and U.K. It will start at £40 in the U.K

There will be a DS4 also (probably based on the new 308/Astra) that looks beautiful.

DS registered a whopping 8 cars here so far this year. They are just too expensive here for what are posh Citroens with extra chrome and leather. Even Citroen are struggling here with only 493 cars registered here this year so far. Peugeot on the other hand have registered 3539 cars to date this year according to beepbeep.ie

Cupra which is another recently go it alone brand similar to DS, have sold nearly 10 time more cars than DS so far this year.

Cupra seems to have caught on to a particular style , my girlfriend who has no interest in cars has recentlypointed out 3 new cars she likes and asked what they are - all cupras -

DS seems more confused ,it's a sparky trim , I originally thought citroen was going more basic but quirky - Peugeot was going to be sensible but sporty and DS was going to be luxury bling .... not really sure how that's working. ..

I'm not sure what was going one the previous importers and sellers of Citroën & DS Automobiles here in Ireland, but in the late 10 years the sales of Citroens has dropped like a stone, that has to do with the importers, but also the range of cars. As for the DS cars, they really didn't get pushed here.
