What vaccination cert do I need to travel to Spain?

hey lads, I’m travelling to Spain in a couple days and I keep getting conflicting reports on what I need for proof of vaccination

I’m fully vaccinated, I have my Covid cert card they give you, I don’t have my EU digital thing yet. Is that card enough for proof of vaccination?

anyone have experience?

Yes the COVID vaccination card you got is accepted. You also have to fill out the Spanish declaration. My girlfriend travelled there yesterday with Ryanair from Dublin and had no issues.

You'll also need the Spanish travel health form and there is a radar covid tracking app for the Canaries.

Hey Rory I've been looking into this more and on the DFA website it appears if you satisfy 1 of 3 possible requirements you should be okay.

All passengers arriving in Spain (mainland as well as Canary and Balearic Islands) from Ireland and other risk countries must:

• Submit a completed Locator Form. This form can be completed on-line via the Spain Travel Health website or app.
• Hold a certificate OR document confirming that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 OR have recovered from COVID-19 OR have a negative/not-detected result of a diagnostic test.

So if you tested positive for COVID in the last 6 months and recovered you can fill out a form to get a digital covid certificate.

If not you can pay for a test 48 hours before you travel and you'll receive a digital certificate if your test is negative:

"In the case of a negative/not-detected test result, passengers must present evidence of a Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT – including RT-PCR, LAMP and TMA) carried out with 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain or a Rapid Antigen Test carried out no more than 48 hours prior to arrival in Spain."

The other requirement is that 2 weeks have passed after you are fully vaccinated of course which is not the case for you.

If any knows here knows any different it would be great if you could reply but it seems that having one of the 3 satisfied will allow you to travel.

Hello. I’m due to fly to Italy on Tuesday night. I will have had my second Pfizer dose 13 days before travel. Have the digital cert. The flight arrive in Naples at 11pm. At 12am I’m 14 days vaccinated. Hearing different thoughts on this. Can anyone advise? Thanks

Does anyone know if this antigen test is ok for entry to Spain? They say they need a negative test within 72 hours, but don’t say who should provide it.

Yes this is completely fine but antigen test is 48 hours max before traveling not 72. A PCR can be taken 72 hours before. This was changed recently

Hi. I took a private PCR test at the Rocdoc facility at Dublin airport. Cost me €95 and they emailed me the negative result with my flight details that I provided them. However in the end I wasn’t asked to provide any proof on the outbound flight. So it was a waste of money. But I couldn’t have taken the risk.

You could always get antigen test the morning of the flight, although when i went for pcr a few days before my flight there was a 30min queue and who needs that stress

I have the link for the digital cert checker. Apparently the cert will be valid at 12.00 am on the 14th day so I will check that before I leave for the airport. Thanks I will leave time for an antigen test too.. just in case. Thanks

I think Ireland considers you fully vaccinated after 7 days but other countries may have their own interpretation of when they consider you fully vaccinated.

I think the card you have is enough but also you will need to fill in a declaration. Being a travel agent or consulting one can reduce your work. Also, with all the covid situation so you should check what countries are safe to visit and what documents you need. To do that, you can go on this site https://www.travelsafe-abroad.com/travel-agent/, on the right they have the safest country to visit and you can always check them. And don't forget to always check the new rules that might appear.

Greece, Albania, Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar last week - Needed proof of vaccination, negative test result within 3 days and Passenger Locator Form. Of all the countries that were strictest on their checks, UK was by far the most stringent.

Most stringent? Vaccination cert or PCR test only required. No passenger location form required when travelling from Ireland to the UK. And they never bothered to check any of that on arrival.

I arrived in Belfast last week expecting to be asked for all documents and asked if he needed... He said all necessary documents be linked to passport which kinda surprised me....

I guess it's inconsistent, although if you were coming from Ireland, you come through a different area (depending on airport). Was a long queue for me coming from mainland Europe, checking everything. Most expensive part was the Day 2 test (£45) which was more expensive than the flights AND the hostel!
