Hi! So I bought a car previously owned by a person with reduced mobility. So there's a hydraulic thing installed to lift the driver seat up and down and also moved forward and back. Where do I bring it to have this adaption removed? Can a regular garage do it? Thank you

Is there some reason why you want it out. Hydraulic adjustable seats tend to be more

maneuverable than standard. Any decent garage should be able to change it back to standard.

Of course you might now need a host of stock parts. You could try offering the special seat to a mobility garage in exchange for the change back to stock

If your car is down as a mobility vehicle, and you intend some form of modification,

then you should check with your insurance company. Insurance company are notoriously finicky for paperwork for mobility vehicles.

From the get go before its insured, they will want the conversion cert to prove it was converted correctly.

Now that you intend changing things, they will no doubt require a SQI stamped cert to say it was changed correctly.

Check this out before you do anything.
