Grass - Greeness Issue

Hi folks, I've a relatively big garden, about 500 sqm but patches (more streaks) are pretty yellow.

Current weather isnt helping, but in general this has been a year round problem.

I bought some grass greener from woodies, and it was watered well, but 1) there's some scorch marks, 2) in general the grass seems in worse shape than when i used the feed.

It's been watered enough using stored rain water so drying shouldnt be a major issues.

any ideas?

fwiw the neighbours gardens are relatively lush in comparison and they arent donig anything to theirs.

500 sq meters would be quite a challenge!

How long has the lawn been down, did you sow it yourself or did you inherit it? It could be something under the lawn which is restricting growth, identifying exactly what depends on the history of the site. Any chance of a pic?

A bag of 0-7-30 fertiliser for to provide P and K to strengthen the plants and make them greener, can be bought from any farm store and just sprinkle it on lightly.

Bad year for grass growth. The scorch marks are from where the product wasn't spread evenly and clumped.

Mine isn't great either. I use Landscaper Pro spring and summer and it makes a big difference.

3/4 years. We had these massive trees that blocked light, but once we got rid of them, we noticed the grass starting to turn yellow in places

Could the yellow patches relate to the major roots of the trees that are near the surface? I am not sure why this would suddenly start making the grass turn yellow unless there had been little or no grass there before because of shade, and now it is noticeable.

Were the stumps poisoned I wonder?

No, stumps werent poisoned, but the yellow patches arent near the trees tbh, it was just something i noticed, they may not be related

But don't spread it now. It's too warm and too dry. Wait until autumn or spring.
