    Hi all,

It seems we are a bit in a dilema . First preganancy, and we are trying to register with a gp. Called around multiple practitioners and none will take us on. "Sorry,no new patients at this time" . How does one go about this? Is not like we can wait another 8,9 months for availability

Sorry, this is a stupid question - have you told them you are pregnant? Sometimes calling a receptionist and saying "I need to sign up as a new patient to this GP" can get an outright no, but possibly if they are aware you are pregnant it might change the situation for even 1 GP.

I would also suggest contacting your local Public Health Nurse as they might be able to advise you.
