Hey so I accepted a personal injury offer 11 weeks ago, I still have not heard anything back about receiving it. Anytime I call my solicitor he tells me he still hasn’t heard anything from the insurance company!! Is this normal for such a long wait?

Ask your solicitor. That’s what your paying them for

There was an admin error in the company I work for (somebody didn't read an email and therefore didn't carry out the instructions contained in it) and this meant that a third party who was injured wasn't paid their settlement. I'd completely forgotten about it and it was only when the third party's solicitor contacted our solicitor did we notice that the money hadn't been paid.

Get your solicitor to get onto the insurance company and see what the story is.

Under the cpc you should be issued payment within 10 working days. Even allowing for delays going through your solicitor, you probably should have received by now. Get your solicitor to give them a ring.

Thanks for reply guys. Anytime I contact my solicitor he brushes me off and tells me it takes months to get a cheque

It shouldn't take that long by any stretch of the imagination. You need to kick up more of a stink.

Just for clarification, did you accept a settlement offer or a PIAB assessment?

It's been about four months since you accepted your award. You really need to go mental with your solicitor. Something is not right because there's no way it should take that long to get sorted. Someone, somewhere has dropped the ball.
