Audi A6 battery drain issue

    My 2010 sline has been acting up the last while and it's an odd one, something is draining the battery so much so I was recently jump starting it nearly daily! I brought it to a local place who firstly tested the battery, it was in perfect health and the reading said charge needed.

    The car needed a bit of work, alongside the battery issue so brought it to my mechanic and he kept it for a few days. There are after market DVD players fitted to the headrests, they haven't worked in a long time, and mechanic thought it might be them so he disconnected them and the car was starting no problem all the time while he had it. I took it for a good spin during the week and everything was fine...until Friday when I had to get it jumped again...over the weekend it was fine too...this afternoon it just about started but when I came out of a shop it wouldn't start again! I have since been back to mechanic and there are no faults showing up when he plugs it in. I have to go back tomorrow but has anyone any ideas what could possibly be wrong or experienced similar?

    My parents have an 08 Q7 and the battery has been a nightmare over the last few years. Theyve had issues where fan sensors had packed up and the fans just kept going until the battery died. battery at the end of its life and not recharging or holding a charge and also had the AA tell them that being called out to Audis with dead batteries is not an uncommon thing for them and that one thing they have found is that people get out the car close the doors but dont lock them and for some reason the battery drains out. Theyve been away the last while and the car wasnt used for a few weeks and last weekend when went to take it out found out that the battery had drained so much that the doors wouldnt unlock of the fob or key. Best advice Id give you is get rid of the car and get something thats not an audi
