Trying to find 60cm diameter pots

I am trying to find 60cm diameter pots in the Dublin area. I already have two that are about 40 cm tall which I purchased in Cork a couple of years ago. Anybody know anywhere that stocks 60 cm ones - thanks.

Plastic? ceramic? The Garden Shop sells large pots, but so do most garden centres. Pots are often offered by capacity - so many litres - rather than size. You could be looking for around 120l pots but it depends on the style and shape. The bigger ones tend to be called planters rather than plant pots. For that kind of size you will probably have to go to outlets with your tape measure.

Hi - Homesavers sell black and brown plastic 55cm pots for 6 euro 25 cents. They went up a euro this year - but still great value for a large pot.

Looks as if I will have to wait until next year. I visited two Homesavers stores and I'm afraid gardening stuff seems to be already displaced by Christmas. 😵

I know people have different budgets but I really really hate having any sort of plastic in the garden (if it can be avoided) .

I always buy ceramic ones now because they really do last a life time and look much better.

Spent around a grand this year on 4/5 large pots and they are so worth it .

The garden center at Altamont gardens has some excellent pots.

This place in Wicklow seems to supply most of the ceramic pots in Ireland.

I was in there yesterday having a look. They are in stock now but to my shock, they are 11 euro this season. I expected them to go up 1 euro like they had the last two years, but that is a huge increase - twice the price they were two years ago. That said, they are still good value I think for a very big pot at 11 euro. The problem is if you buy a lot of them - it adds up. I have bought fifty of these pots in the last two years. I was thinking of buying ten more yesterday but when I saw the price - I decided to wait, hoping the price comes down later in the summer.

I got some in Homebase in the interim. I cannot remember what they cost but it was more than €11 euro. Lord - what did you do with 50 of them? Enough for a small forest!
