I went to george's arcade and found the only dedicate retro store I knew of is gone. Is here anything left and is there any demand?

if it's the rage you were looking for, they've moved to crow street in temple bar :) or they're online at therage.ie

Also I think the one on Talbot Street is still there, albeit I'm not sure its particularly good.

When I was in The Rage's new spot last year it was a very sad affair, a small alcove in the wall of a basement. The record store was decently stocked but the games section was literally a handful.

Judging by their Facebook they seem to be picking up a bit now but Jesus I'd love to know what happened, all that stock and misc bits they had. The charm is certainly gone and there'll be no window shopping for a while anyway...

Don't think there's much of anything left, aside from the aforementioned Bookmart & GameSexchange on Talbot St

The loss of RAGE as a decent walk-in store is hard, that alcove previously described is exactly that, just so sad compares with what it was before.

I would guess they do better online/ebay so no effort required

Thanks will have to have a look at the new location of Rage. It sounds like people like the idea of a store but probably not affordable to run as sales aren't high enough. Maybe a weekend store only but can't see that in the city centre with rents

GameSexChange? yeah they're still there , prices are a bit crazy , but there may be some wiggle room
