    I think the question should be urban or rural.

    Both canals are better the further you get away from Dublin city.

    I'm mainly on royal and trying to get further from city, was 2 times on grand canal but didn't get any pike so far - maybe just not lucky day

    any good proved area for pike on grand canal?
