Heading up there for a week. Will get out maybe one early morning 100km and a couple of 30-40km spins.
I'll be based in Ramelton, has anyone got any good route suggestions, preferably on quiet enough roads.

Would this area be good to bring kids bikes too? Anything for them up there cycling wise?
    Thanks

Head north from Ramelton round Rathmullan, Portsalon/ballymastocker beach, can come back round Kerrkykeel and Milford back to Ramelton, or continue on north to Fanad head for a long one and back round Mulroy bay bridge to Carrigart/Downings.

If you're looking for hills, head to Lough Salt from Termon or Glen/Carrigart or for a longer one, head on to Muckish or Dunlewey and loop back, may be more than 100k though. A stop off at Glenveagh castle is worth a trip too, can cycle right up to it on a semi-private road.

Roads should be relatively quiet midweek, traffic in and out of Letterkenny will probably be busy in mornings and evenings

Another option is to head north to Rathmullen and get the ferry over to Buncrana and do some of the Innisowen peninsula - perhaps up to Malin Head if you have the time and even try the famous Gap of Mamore near Clonmany.

If you take the ferry to Buncrana as suggested, you could try the Inishowen 100 (or 60) routes (distances are in miles).
