Car is a 2010 C Class estate . Changed rear tyres 8 months / 7500 miles ago . Near side rear tyre is completely bald , off side rear tyre not as bad but almost gone . Tyres are Hankook Optimo k415 . What would be the possible causes and should i bring to a mechanIc or a tyre fitter ? TIA

You’d really need to be checking the 4 wheel alignment for a start.

It’s more a job for a tyre shop with the correct equipment than a mechanic.

Do you tow with it? I remember my brother having an E class estate of same vintage and he towed a caravan occasionally. It ate tyres off the back of it in similar timeframe / mileage to yours. Dealer shrugged his shoulders and said yep that's normal...

This gives you a good idea on the different types of tyre wear and gives an indication of where to start looking at causes:

I reckon something is out of alignment. You'd be expecting at least double that mileage before they even become marginal, and maybe much more.
