Can you let me know you opinion on
a.) will the upgrade be worth it in terms of picture quality
b.) what are good options in my price range

FYI: It will be connected to sky /  xbox / firestick via AV amp

    Hi irishgrover,

    Thanks for the post!

Upgrading from the Optoma HD14X to a 4K projector would definitely be worth it as not only will get get a better image resolution but improved motion and colour.

If you're looking for a good one around that budget I would recommend the Optoma UHD38 at 1199 euro! It's a fantastic, high spec'd projector with a much higher contrast ratio than the HD142X and better brightness. It's a great upgrade over your current projector:

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David
