I'm looking for ideas for a suitable place to take the wife for her birthday outdoors on Wed 07-07, that would have a bit of cover in case of rain in the current restrictions within a 20min drive from Dunshaughlin. Been to peters pub a few times, looking for something a bit fancier.

Avenue in Maynooth. The food is brilliant. Handy online booking system too.

Trim about 15 mins away from you. Stockhouse and Franzinis both have outdoor dining. All the hotels have outdoor dining options also, but you'd need to check on if they are covered in.

I think the Station House in Kilmessan is open for outdoor dining.

They've a great shelter out the front. You might need a jumper/hoodie but you should should be dry!

We've been to the Hatchet since it reopened, they have a gazebo outside, although not the warmest it does provide shelter from the elements and the food is a1
