Hi all, went on a holiday to Meloneras a few years back and really like it, nice hotels and restaurants, on the beach with a nice waterfront promenade and obviously the weather was really good too.

So what I am wondering is can you recommend someone else in Spain, Italy, Portugal etc where you have a nice selection of good quality high end hotels, restaurants and in a nice setting?

There are so many, take your pic from any on the Costa del Sol. Personally I like Torremolinos as it is so close to Malaga City but really all of them are a variation on each other. Some being a little more "authentic" than others. In portugal my favourite is Olhos de Agua but the others on the Algarve are lovely too.

Thanks! Will look into those. I always had the impression that Torremolinos was a £1 pint kinda place if you get what I mean. Visited Playa del Ingles when we were last in Meloneras and it was ghastly, dirty drinks, loud music, cheap Brit style bars, for some reason have Torremolinos in the same light.
