Thermal properties in fanless pentium notebooks

    Hello,
I'm currently looking to get a reliable basic notebook and have set on n6000 Acer swift 1.

My question is , will running with 4gb ram keep the machine at a lower temperature because windows manages running background or would having 8gb be better.

I'm aware that the machine might be faster with more RAM , but would that mean the CPU is running faster aswell ?

I just want a reliable machine , speed is not important.

    Thanks

the effect of having 8gb vs 4gb ram on the heat will be negligible

get the 8gb as windows requires at least 6gb to run well

it's the cpu that produces the heat (and ssd to lesser extent)

this cpu is a low-end (but ok low-end performance) cpu that runs at low wattage (4.8W to 6W) and that's the reason that it can be fanless.

I bit the bullet and got 8gb and it also has 256hd.

Thanks for your reply as I was really weary of the 4gb which only had 128hd

    479 in curry's
I originally was paying 400 on Amazon for 4gb/128 .

I had 50 euro voucher that I wasn't using so that's what made it easy.

The screen is IPS , which makes it nice to use and handy fingerprint sensor, aluminum body.
