Recycle Right quote a price for 6 months service on their website of €151.50. This actually increases to €157.50 after the first 6 months but this is not stated anywhere on the website or Terms and Conditions. Is this legal?

I'd say you'd be better off asking in the Consumer Issues forum than here in Limerick

Could be due to a change in VAT?

What does the contract you agreed to state?

I've moved this thread from the Limerick Regional forum, please note the different Charter that is in place.

Ok, just put it here because its a limerick based company and to check if other customers were also unaware of the price increase.

Terms and conditions state that price increases will be advised on the website or by invoice to the customer. The invoices show only the amount due and not the full price of the service. The amount due varies because a €3 deduction is made each time the general waste bin is not left out for collection. I thought the full price of the service I was being charged was 151.50 as all the invoices I had received up to now were for less than 151.50. The invoice I just received however was for 157.50 which I queried and was told the full price had increased to 154.50 in april 2019 and increased again to 157.50 in June 2021. I cant figure out why they do not state the full price on the Invoice with deductions for non collections and the amount due. its like they are trying to hide the full price and make people think they are still on the 151.50 rate like I did.
